Record your screens, nobody else seems to have this problem. Rithmic is very reliable software so recording your screen might show you or Rithmic what goes wrong if it ever should happen again.
Honestly I dont know how i added extra contracts I just assumed it was my mistake because my hand was on the mouse at the time but i could have sworn that I was on the DOM price not the bid ladder area. Ive had software issues and still failed so i didnt even bother asking for a credit see page 99 for 1 of the software issues where I placed a trade and it immediately closed for a full stop loss when price never traded there.
Interesting looking into the logs for that day i dont see where I added an extra (2) long contracts I'll see what support can find likely nothing but below are the logs. Maybe im looking at it wrong. I see the MES shorts that I closed because it was clear that it was not going down. my crying on E2T started at 2:38am (1) NQ long 10057.00 open still (1) NQ long 10052.25 exited 10054.75 (1) NQ long 10049.50 exited 10068.75
You can use Windows' built in screen recording software to quickly and easily record your sessions ... in 4 hour blocks, if you are running windows 10. It'll only record the Rithmic windows, even if you switch to a browser window that fully covers the Rithmic window, for example. Just don't minimize the Rithmic window, or you'll have to restart a new recording session (again, quick and easy).
I was sorting by the wrong time its update time but either way mistakenly opening more than max size automatically eliminates you from the mini gauntlet. So make sure to cap your contracts they cant do this for micros so it will be capped at the low number and i guess you have to confirm that you want micros capped which I didn't.
Just a question, not trying to be an ass, just an honest question , and sorry if you answered it somewhere else in the thread and I missed, but if you are having a problem with the E2T platform that doesn't seem to be a problem elsewhere why do you continue to battle and waste time on it? You also don't like their trailing DD calculation compared to others, but continue trying to pass their evaluation even though you have passed another firms evaluations who doesn't use the same calculation. Why not just stay with the funded account at that firm that you have or had? The tax benefit of a K-1 over a W-9? It's not that great a difference tax wise.
it was the $99/deal on the 50k I just took a withdrawal from topstep had extra money to blow the 50k allows you to have a somewhat reasonable max profit without extending the target to pass. The only variable for me was the max contract and i tried to limit that but they couldn't because they cant do it differently for micros. Its the same thing that keeps people putting money in futures accounts dispite them not making any money I thought i could make a return
Ok, thanks for the reply. It seems like you would be better off just working your funded account. If I am reading the 2 sites correctly it looks like TST has no platform fee with their platform and the commissions plus exchange fees are almost half E2T. Which can be meaningless depending on style, but if you scalp that could be a big difference.
Question directly to E2T. -------- I was told by E2T that I could not have my Sierra Charts running at the same time as my Rithmic Gauntlet as that would be two quote feeds running at the same time and that was not permitted by the exchange. So I discounted any possibility of taking any future Gauntlet because I base my trades off of Sierra Charts. Now I have received information from my broker AMP Futures that they are changing to the Denali Exhange Data Feed on July 1st and I had to sign new agreement forms. In doing so I quote the following information from the Sierra Charts data base. "If you are receiving the CME Group data from different vendors, as a nonprofessional you can receive data on up to two systems from each vendor and still be considered a nonprofessional. So you could receive data on four systems at the same time and still be considered a nonprofessional by using two different vendors. In this case if you are using two different vendors and receiving data from them on two systems each, you will be paying a total of four exchange fees." This sure sounds like the rules have changed and that I could have Rithmic from the Gauntlet and Sierra Charts running at the same time. Is that now a correct statement? Question # 2 ---- If one passes the Gauntlet and trades for Helios, can Sierra Charts be used as the platform for executing trades?
Hello Illini, I just need to clarify, if your Sierra account will connect to Rithmic, there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to use that as your session. If you meant that you wanted to have Sierra Charts and RTrader Pro open at the same time, then you would need two session counts. On the second point, Sierra is correct. You can still have up to two concurrent sessions and be considered a non-pro. The problem is simply that our billing system is not currently configured to charge for a second session. We're unable to support two sessions yet because we are unable to bill for them. Regarding your third point, the answer is generally yes. As long as Sierra connects to Rithmic, you will be able to trade with Helios through Sierra. As Sierra no longer supports Rithmic, we can tell you that if there is some issue then Sierra will not help you with it. All the best.
