  6. Is this really as nutty as it sounds? Or is this just my broker?

You can't enter a Market order for the QM or QN?

I suppose the work-a-round is to enter a Limit order where the Limit is way above the current price, but what is their point?

Been trading QM since the switchover, no problem entering orders.

IMO, why use a market order when limit does the same thing?

  8. The reason is, market orders are "get in now" or "get out now" orders. Limit orders can sit in the market for a long time, until price hits it and you get a fill (or not).

Two completely different order types IMHO.

Most platforms I have seen permit you to "Stage" or "Park" an order for future submission.

Sort of like loading the gun, what stops you from "Staging" a limit order?

What platform is preventing you from QM Market orders?

  10. Sending or staging a Limit order is not the problem. My question was why NYMEX, in their great wisdom, decided not to accept market orders. It isn't my platform preventing a market order, it is NYMEX.

I am not aware of any other exchange NOT accepting market orders.
