Anybody notice those 40 Contracts that traded between 55.325 and 56.35 on the re-open?

Are those staying on the tape?

  2. It's not gonna trade "normal" again.
You'll be glad if volume goes to 10k again - on good days.

Not nearly as many ppl have Clearport access (as w/ Globex).
I don't see how anyone installs Clearport access just to trade QM/QG's.

I wonder if IB uses a middleman now ?
Can anyone from IB comment ?

All in all, this is a really big f***-up.

If you want to trade energy,
    switch over to IPE contracts.

It's obvious someone hit the "SELL" button on 10 or 20 QM Cars at the market in error!

  4. The opening prints, probably also related to the switch-over. Looks like some software error, maybe a limit / market order misconfiguration or similar.
I'd guess the trades will stand.

Surdo, you see the real volume traded in these seconds ? In my software I see only prints for 6-10 contracts ...

    I see a total of 40 Contracts from 3:15PM - 3:16 PM.
I only nitpicked this because I was bidding $56 in the regular session.

That would have been a nice gift!
I was taking my 3PM Bond close snooze.

I am quite skeptical trading these as well until this Anemia goes away, if it does. If not I guess I am switching to The Pit!

  6. NYMEX has informed us that all trades that have been executed between 3:15 P.M. ET and 3:32 P.M. ET have been determined to be invalid and will be voided.

Please note that all existing orders will be cancelled and must be replaced when the markets pre-open.

An update will be sent out when the markets will resume.

  7. I did so.

I also find very convenient that IPE Brent trades in 0.01 increments.

Although I'm find it's T&S (as offered by IB) a bit odd, those 1000 lots which don't seem to affect price at all.

  8. Forgive me guys, but what are IPE contracts? Are these mini's or what?

I'd appreciate any links, info, etc.

    Thanks!

  9. The IPE (now ICE) Brent Crude contract is a full contract (1000 barrels) and its very liquid compared to Nymex's Clearport...............Today i believe the Brent contract traded 45,000 while clearport was held under 5000 (and they arent even full contracts....). Nymex still cant get their act together........

  10. patbateman - Thanks for the info. I've purely traded just E-Mini's - Russell, S&P, etc. How does ICE differ from these? I'm on the ice website now and I can't tell exactly.

    Thanks!
