E-mini tutorials?

  1. IB only requires $10,000 to open an account and has ES commissions that start at $4.70 RT all in (unbundled rate).

You can also take a look at Lightspeed http://www.lightspeed.com/ . Their ES commissions are $3.30 RT all in.

And www.futuresbroker.com Their ES commissions are $3.80 RT all in.

You may not like the platforms, data feeds or customer service of these brokers.

If you start doing big volume take a look at Advantage Futures www.advantagefutures.com .

There are a number of blogs with different viewpoints about ES trading.

Here are just 3 of them:

    Carl Futia http://carlfutia.blogspot.com/

For the IB mixup. I was looking at account minimums for futures trading when I was signing up and saw that it was 40K.

  4. That's where Go Futures has a big advantage. $1000 and you can start trading the Eminis.

  5. Be careful that they do not recommend you to SchoolofTrade for a 'learning' process; they have done that in the past...not even their free trial..

Go to the educational section of the forum and refer to the SchoolofTrade thread..

  6. You don't seem to realize that there are other customers using the same FCM you are using that pay half the broker commission that you are paying.

Go Futures is just one of several DBA names used by Farr Financial. Using Farr Financial as FCM through the Go Futures name you pay $0.99 a side plus exchange fees.

Zumo Futures is an introducing broker for Farr Financial. Using Farr Financial as FCM through Zumo Futures you pay $0.50 a side plus exchange fees.

Go through door 1 to Farr Financial and pay $0.99 a side plus exchange fees or go through door 2 to Farr Financial and pay half price at $0.50 a side plus exchange fees.

Farr Financial is happy that you are happy with Go Futures. :D

  10. Trading futures and an account anywhere near that small should be oxymorons. That is essentially gambling.

That and "$300" margins are the stuff of insanity.
