good to see you mark and jj (from ts forum). I'm with you mark, countertrend on sp is just too compelling. what frustrates me is the trend models which work on the cash but implode on futures.
pick a basket of five stocks and trade that using the cash system as the trigger to buy and sell. one stock i traded oddball with was aig. mb
never thought why but yes that would be a good reason. i'm killing time here while my 54,000,000 optimization run is in progress. the thing is only doing 400,000 runs every 10 hours i will be here talking on et for months. one thing about it i have my own power plant so only a direct hit of lightening can take me out. mb
oh crap found out you remember me from the burger grill where i flip burgers! well i have a gas grill, the gas is nice cause it runs the power plant after the 480 optima batteries run low. which btw takes about 2 days to 1 week depending on if the cray is running or not. mb soon i plan to move to geneva and will flip po some burgers when i visit france.
Ur still using ts2000i? what did you use up all your cash on your yellow lambo? Try multicharts. It's optimized to run on multicores. Will def. save you some time so you can go back to flipping burgers.
actually i have a new private platform - i just can't show it. it is very much like my old traderware.com but much much better in a .net environment. it has a data farm, charting, pattern recognition, visual reoccurring analysis etc. always everything i develop is on the ndr.com platform or our new program trade(xxx).com which i think we have decided to keep private cause i just can't support it. so i always have used ts to show and tell. i learned the hard way it has many faults to actually use for trading. mb
