I suspect that's not true. I have Dell and Samsung side-by-side and find the character of the displays to be different. Also, the Samsung has much better monitor adjustments.

I don't play games anymore (counterstrike took over my life for 2 weeks in college. and then thats when I decided "this is bad") I agree. the 15in should look fine, if it was new. But this thing. Its not mine, and was probably sitting in the back of someone's car during summer for months on end; a small miracle it actually works. Thanks for all your advice everyone.
You are both right! Samsung provides the panel for the 1905, but the graphics processor (internal electronics) is different. Samsung uses their own, and Dell uses a "Genesis".
Samsung may provide the panel, but it's not the same panel they use in Samsung brand monitors. Not that it's bad, just different.
