I thought I already put this in my "notes" so I could find it more easily when I want to check in every now and then (but always forget the name of the thread). However, I just looked, and I can't find where I posted it. So, here it is (again?).

This routine from Post #416 relied on too broad a picture of the market to "guaranty" success under all conditions.
Better to use the protocol that follows.

    ScreenHunter_9914 Apr. 20 07.37.jpg

I rely on the 16-hour, 1⅓-day, 2-day, 3-day and 4-day baselines on a one-hour chart to gauge in which direction price is headed from day to day, along with the 4½-day temporal support and resistance levels.

However, to better select entry and exit levels, I will often drop down to five-minute (and sometimes even one-minute) charts.

So then, I’m generally looking for the above baselines to all by "perfectly" aligned (more-or-less) in terms of their slopes and structure (i.e., fanning out).

Generally speaking, I will execute trades when price makes contact with and is subsequently rejected at the 24- (or 26-) hour temporal support or resistance level, as appropriate, though the 4½- and 15-day temporal support/resistance levels can also come into play.

(I should probably go back, however, and evaluate how the 14-hour temporal support/resistance levels can/should also fit into this routine.)

The 8-hour baseline and 45-minute baselines should also be consulted to help gauge in which direction rates are ultimately headed at the intraday level.

This approach was developed thanks to an effort to overcome the problem of devising a system able to deal effectively with the challenges encountered in trading Nadex binary option contracts.

And don't forget, it is also important to monitor the four-hour, eight-hour, and two-day price ranges.

Someone please tell President Biden for me that as a black American I do NOT experience fear and trauma, pain, and exhaustion every single day! If anything, my main exhaustion is in having to continuously listen to these sanctimonious, self-righteous, thoroughly woke, liberal white racists talk about me as if I were some kind of inane, hopeless, incompetent idiot who is too destitute and/or stupid to manage to acquire some form of government identification if needed—or that I'm lacking the wherewithal to bring a water bottle with me if there's some chance I might get a little thirsty while standing in a long line.

I have far more to fear from having my business or professional license stolen from me due to my opting not to celebrate gay marriage or the genital mutilation of minors than I do of being shot by a white law enforcement officer. For my bothers and sisters who DO fear this sort of thing, I have a few suggestions…

Stop engaging in the sale and use of illicit narcotics, assault, robbery, and/or other criminal activity. Stop resisting arrest. (If arrested under false pretenses, wait to get a good lawyer and sue the pants off the department—like rich white folks do.) And stop trying to relieve law enforcement officers of their weapons…because I guarantee you…if and when we, as 13% of the American population, are responsible for only 13% of the crimes committed in this nation, the number of black men being shot by white cops is going to pretty much drop to zero!

So that you don't have to go hunting down this information again...here is the book that Jim Roof says serves as the basis for 90% of what he knows about technical analysis…

Three core beliefs necessary to keep you seeking your goal:
    1. It’s there.
    2. I must and will find it.
    3. It will be worth it.

I just had a YouTube video I was watching interrupted by an Investor's Business Daily advertisement for Swing Trader, the ad copy of which I liked because it sounded very similar to what I plan to do at some point in the future, even though the content of this particular commercial struck me as possibly being a bunch of rubbish. I therefore resolved to type the captions from the ad the next time I saw it and modify it to fit my ideas.

I also glanced at a few informational videos put out by the company and felt like they mainly used a bunch of fancy language to say virtually nothing of any real value. Moreover, I found a review of their product, Swing Trader, where the guy who looked into it used spread sheets to determine that their system was only generating about $8 a month at the same time they were charging their subscribers $69 per month.

Needless to say, this did not surprise me. Of course I'm biased, but I think my system would be much, much more profitable, and here is the modified text describing my hypothetical offer, using a phony name so no one steels the real one…

To what does "it" refer? (I do not watch videos or click on links unless I know in advance what is their content since experience has taught me that this is not a productive use of my time.)

You were able to grind out nine trades at the start of the week with no losses, but you could have made significantly more than six bucks had you fully committed to shorting the Aussie pairs instead of simply scalping a couple of pips.

Yet, I don't think you necessarily made the wrong choice because to do otherwise would have been to go against the direction of the eight-hour trend.

But on the other hand, the argument for doing things differently next time would be that if price will be going against the eight hour trend from the edge of the 8- and/or 16-hour price range and is supported by the slope of the 24-hour and/or 1⅓-day baseline, you should go ahead and try to maximize your return.

Continue to evaluate this particular scenario to determine which of these two options is likely to result in the highest winning percentage.
