Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb told reporters about police officers "felt it necessary to draw their weapons to defend themselves" more than once after protesters tore through the city's central shopping district, setting fires in their wake. Describing the scenes as "an orgy of violence," he added that “people were injured,” after officers "shot at protesters," although he could not provide information on the extent of their injuries. At least seven people had been injured in the clashes, police said in a statement on Twitter, which added that officers had also been injured in the clashes. Several arrests had been made, police said.
"...The lockdown, which is set to last for at least three weeks, will see restaurants, bars and essential shops closing by 8 p.m. and non-essential retail shops and services shuttered by 6 p.m..." Yep. Because the virus is contagious mostly at night. Mostly.

Crowds of several hundred rioters torched cars, set off fireworks and threw rocks at police during the protests on Friday evening. Police responded with warning shots and water canons. Rotterdam police posted on Twitter on Saturday that 51 people had been arrested, half of whom were under 18. "Three rioters were wounded when they were hit by bullets, they remain in hospital," police added, in an update after earlier reporting two wounded. Authorities are investigating the shootings including whether the wounded people where hit by police bullets, they added.

Breaking News (sarcasm) I just heard that Kyle purchased an airline ticket to Rotterdam. Someone there purchased an AR-15 for him upon arrival considering he's not allowed to carry one through customs at the airport...if he did that it would be illegal. Police have stated it was not them that shot the Protesters in Rotterdam. They said it was an unidentified person with a "baby face", spoke English and pretending to be an EMT that shot the Protesters. Police are still looking for the shooter with a Kenosha, Wisconsin, U.S.A. accent. wrbtrader
