  1. FA = first alpha? Financial advisor?
    JV of NSF = joint venture of the natural science foundation?
    NFP = not for profit?
    POA = power of attorney?

    This brings up an interesting point. I know you use NLP, and I assume it's a filtering mechanism to catch and remove unwanted garbage from your net, but it's ridiculously hard (for me) to distill the point of most of your posts. While I do enjoy your writing, and much of it rings true on levels that many here don't understand, I can't help but wonder why you have made things so difficult. I am not dense. You must realize that there is a very large grey area of well-intentioned people trying to read, digest and understand your work who are never going to get it, right? Not the most effecient use of "pay it forward".

    Thanks for answering.

    I stayed on thru the war. It was only the *&#($!* trials after the war that drove me to Argentina.

  5. Right, I've always assumed that was the NLP part of his writings. A few people seem to be getting it around here, but I think it's pretty obvious there is a large group that doesn't get it.

    Jack either believes these people don't deserve to get it, aren't capable of understanding it, or won't do the work. My contention is that if he discussed his trading concepts in a more frank way, a larger number of people would get it, thereby paying it forward more effeciently. He seems very selective in who he'll pay it forward to - anyone willing to do all the work without proof that it works. What's the point of that?

    Thanks,

    TNG

  6. LJYoung, you are too funny. A great guy to knock down a few with on a Saturday night. A few whatevers. Remind me never to joust with YOU. And now if am sorry I mentioned the forceps (not foreskin) thing, because Jack will recognize me from my prominent forehead skull flattenings. Appropos of the "operation", once when playing show and tell with a little girl (I will never tell my own age at the time), I showed her the underside of it and said "See that little ridge all along the shaft? That's where they sew us up when they make penises for us in the hospital." (That's the kind of white trash story makes high class puritan Jack double over with nausea.)

  7. 'without proof that it works' = unsupported personal belief

  8. Doli, you didn't have the military science background to get a passport to the labs in New Mexico or Alabama? A pity. The best pork barrel living there is. Been doing it for over 40 years now, plan to drop in the traces. Das Amerika, as your countryman said. You can tell from this thread that we are a race of madmen. My own excuse is that my first ancestor here arrived in luxury on a King's prison ship for a double indenture (14 years) thanks to the ineffable wisdom of the Crown Transportation Acts. At least I'm not an Aussie.
