Has it ever seemed to you that less competent traders rate their competence higher than it actually is, while more competent traders humbly rate theirs lower?

It’s not just your imagination. This is a genuine cognitive bias called the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

The Dunning-Kruger experiments behind the research focused on cognitive tasks (logic, grammar, and evaluating humor), but similar disparities exist in other areas. In self-assessment of IQ, below-average people overestimated their score and those above average underestimated.

enjoy wisdom of a wise man:D.There are many traders with delusions about their competence. Many traders start trading live accounts , when they have no proven profitable skills in their mindsets and technically. So if these subjects discussions , should be deleted , it is OK.

  2. example of Dunning Kruger person:

He believes professional traders work on forums.Appears on a fx forum as a poster who deludes himself as a professional , after working at METATRADER PROFESSIONAL , the word professional is suck a up.He has never traded live , except given signals to customers , for his brokerage , on binary options.

    He calls himself OPTIONS PROFFESIONAL

YOU ASK QUESTIONS "replies are evasive , defensive and attacking the asker "

Example :I know everything , I know it all , I can teach it all to you , You can have discussions for days with me on any arguments

  4. “The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.”

“Without education, we are in a horrible and deadly danger of taking educated people seriously.”

“He knows nothing; and he thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career.”

“Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge: it is those who know little, not those who know much, who so positively assert that this or that problem will never be solved by science.”

“If ignorance is bliss, there should be more happy people.”

“To know that you do not know is the best.
To think you know when you do not is a disease.
Recognizing this disease as a disease is to be free of it.”
