No satisfied to bash only IB, I'll post few really stupid TOS (Ameritrade) problems. 1) Font size selection is GLOBAL and not per window/screen type. So where you would want a slightly larger font that can be easily read (think NEWS) , you cant do it. Even IB's TWS lets you adjust font by window type. Lazy , dumb, design. more to come

Guess no one cares that TOS forces 1 font size throughout the entire app. They must know their moron customers better than I do!
Clearly some of their customers are morons, though probably only a few of them. I agree TOS could use some additional font options.
2) Many of the column sizes are locked and cant be re-sized. For example, using "normal" font size in the "working orders" widget, the share "Qty" column is locked to accommodate over 20 characters. I'm not gonna be buying a trillion shares of anything anytime soon, so I'd like to resize that column and use that space to view some of the data that is squeezed out. Even more so if I wanted to use "large" size font. (Linux Mint 17 Xfce)
