No---it's The House that failed to convict the guy. The House is the prosecutor and the Senate is the jury. This failure to convict gets attached to the prosecutor.
Exactly. Pelosi is a failure as a prosecutor. Twice at that. She now has the record for the most failures in this area. She must be proud of herself.
The way I understand it...The House is the State. They are like the DA who bring the charges. It's the Senate who are the prosecutors and ultimately the jury. I mean, what role did any House member have in the Senate trial?
They were the ones prosecuting the case who avoided mentioning that Trump said at the January 6 rally, "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_impeachment_trial_of_Donald_Trump#House_managers
Oh I see, those were House members arguing before the Senate. I thought it was the Senate who conducted the trial, not the House. Well then, retract everything I typed about it. It shows I am oblivious, because everything just melded into one huge mess in my head.
The only thing I kept wondering is "Is that a yarmulke, or really a perfectly round bald spot"? That's it. I was tuned out on everything else. All I saw was "Impeachment manager". And I didn't watch much of this one, as opposed to the previous impeachment proceeding. That one seemed to be all about witnesses. Totally different feel than this latest one.
The next candidate for impeachment? https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ho...nswers-pelosi-security-decisions-capitol-riot
