    Just as IGSI indicated earlier, the P4 and Intel chipsets or any quality hardware, are adequate for multimonitor configurations. (Contrary to what theplumber and others have indicated, that the P4 motherboards won't work)

    Here is a reply from Intel I received today.

    Hello Mike,

    Thank you for contacting Intel(R) Technical Support.

    The Intel(R) Desktop Board D845PESV and the Intel(R) 850 chipset boards do not have onboard video so they would depend on the video card being used. The AGP slot's bandwidth is 1GB per second if using the 4x specification. If you are using a video card that supports 4 monitor outputs and is compliant to the AGP specifications, there should be no problem when being used on these boards. The other solution could be to install several PCI video cards to get more monitor support. We have only tested these using 2 different cards so we would not have any information on the performance of different configurations.

    Please do not hesitate to contact us again if you need further assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Otto JK.

    ->Are the intel motherboards such as the 845pesvl, with the Intel 845 or 850
    ->chipsets with the Pentium 4 CPU, capable of running high bandwidth data
    ->feeds for displaying graphic data on multiple monitors (say 4 or 6 monitors)
    ->for the purposes of Stock trading data.
    ->
    ->The allegations on EliteTrader.com are that the P4 motherboards with the 845
    ->or 850 chipsets cannot handle high bandwidth graphics, compared to the
    ->Nvidea Gforce 2 chips.
