Dual monitor problems

  1. What set of cards do you have ? Did you have to remove your original video card ?

    You'll need something like that if you're trying to drive 3 or 4 monitors from a notebook, but otherwise all you need is 2 relatively modern dualhead cards... $20-$50, if you buy used on eBay.

    (Before when I asked about "special device, video card?", I was going for humorous sarcasm. However, Scalper didn't laugh.... guess I wouldn't be laughing either if I found I'd spent $300 to accomplish a $20 objective. :D )

    If you guys are curious to know how I fixed my monitor issue, I connected my second monitor straight to the onboard video port instead of the second vga head of my video card. I was able to configure the resolution on the onboard card. Good luck to all and thanks for the feedback.
