I am relocating to Las Vegas and the cable provider in that area (Cox Communications) offers the following specs for their service: 1.5 Mbps download speed / 128 kbps upload speed and maximum transfer limit per month of 7.5 gigabytes.
I am not familiar with these figures but just would like to know if their service is adequate for day trading. I use eSignal and normally have 12 charts running simultaneously on one monitor plus my IB order page and a chatroom running on another.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Being able to trade stocks is my priority, so if this company's cable service is inadequate for my use, I will seriously reconsider relocating.

I used the stopwatch feature on a program called dumeter which can be found at http://www.dumeter.com to monitor both download and upload bandwidth for the day.

    Hope this helps
