I don't think so. I am not a scientist, nor do I pretend to be. But my understanding is that experts in the field regard them as one and the same for all intents and purposes. Global warming encompasses severe weather patterns with widening variations in both directions, and is gradually increasing the average temperature on the planet as a whole. I may be mistaken and may have misunderstood, but I don't think so.
I am certainly not well-informed on this subject either. I'm just falling back on logic. I can see how an increase in co2 would warm the planet. I go back to my high school astronomy knowledge and think Venus, the mars colonization hypothetical, etc. I'm less sure that I can agree that an increase in gasses would cause big cooling, flooding, droughts, etc.
