I don't know what you're hinting at, but I first bought bitcoin in 2013, always long, always the coins. I only traded bitcoin with other cryptocurrencies. Bought bitcoin all the way to $1,200 and it crashed to bear market for 1.5 years bottoming in 2016 at around $165 No, never shorted bitcoin. Only long term hold. Only real cryptos, no derivatives, no futures. Here's my 2nd post when bitcoin had just crossed over $2,000 in 2017, beginning of the year it was hovering around $1,000 https://elitetrader.com/et/threads/poll-when-will-bitcoin-hit-2000.309325/#post-4459553
I do not follow Jim. I saw him a couple of times on his "Mad Money" thing, and have seen snippets of him on the Interwebs. I have him as an avatar pic because he makes me laff for being the clown that he is. And look, we all need laughter in this business. But IMHO, BTC is eventually going to crash back down to where it was in the beginning, which was 0.
How can you make money while such a pessimist? One should try many things as an investor. Did you short equities in 2008?
You don't follow what I am saying. I find Cramer funny. He makes me laugh. Just because I think BTC is gonna' crash does not mean I am a pessimist.
Thank you, but it's not as easy as it seems. Buying bitcoin at $100, seeing it on a parabolic rise, kept buying, and mind you using credit card cash advance and other borrowing means, and experiencing my first bear market in early 2014 for over a year and half, dude, there were many times I was not even opening the cryptos wallets to update the blockchain. One of my core cryptos holdings was litecoin, average price was $1.10, you'd think I'd be a millionaire by now, traded it back to bitcoin and other cryptos when it was trading at ~$5, lol, could have been retired if I bought 10,000 litecoins and sold when SatoshiLite sold all his litecoins at over $300 each (announced on twitter as he didn't want to get in trouble with the SEC)
