DRIP + swing trade?

I'm interested in DRIP investing but I also want to swing trade. Do both strategies go well together or should I just be doing one of them? What are some strategies that are easy to start off for a beginner?

 

In other words, will DRIP, which encourage long-term investment, contradicts its purpose if I am to do active trading at the same time?

 

DRIP is a tiddly piss unless you are talking billions!The most money is in a daytrading environment.
