This is not valid for 99.99999999999% of the people who are on ET. I speak about the "elitetraders" overhere. "Elitetraders" use all kind of retailbrokers, and they practice what I wrote. Read about the intraday margins they give you.
The fact that there are a only few dozens traders in history who made huge profits proves my point. I know several traders who work(ed) for banks as trader. Most of them never got to the +50 million status in their personal bank account. On the number of people who try to work for banks or hedgefunds only a very small percentage become really wealthy.
and guess where those 90-95% are...in life as well as their bank accounts... by the way, care to share how you made 50% of all your posts being liked by someone (on avg)? It is difficult to fathom from your past few posts and I am not the sort to waste time to dig into others' past post history, hence my just asking you straight...
Okay well, instead of telling us how stupid we are, can you please tell us something that would help us understand this entire business?
Read my posts again in this thread, they contain everything you need to know BEFORE even getting started. Know yourself and whether your character/mentality/passion/consistency traits are matching with what it takes to even get started. Without it no amount of account funding nor education will spare you from miserable and life destructing results.
I'll look for your posts in this thread but I'm a few days past the getting started event. As for character/mentality/passion/consistency, check^4. But I don't know how that helps me understand this entire business.
OK guys everybody calm down. This was supposed to be an upbeat motivating post to say that yes we can do this and be successful.
There's only one person that needs to calm down, in every thread it seems. There's one in every forum... They just tell about all the problems they see, they're good at that. You ask for a solution and breakdown is what you get. A few more posts like that and I'll stop wasting my time on this forum too and just be a lurker for information every now and then instead of participating.
I assume a lot of people here have money, enough money to start up a forum such as EliteTrader for ad revenue, etc. Assuming you also have the free time, someone should create a forum specifically with the model of kicking trolls out, "get 'em outta here" kind of mentality. Perhaps it's something people would vote for depending on whether they were offended. With enough dislikes, the Bitter Betties would automatically be banned. I really think there's a market for this. Nothing like this exists and I don't believe it would be illegal or vulnerable for lawsuits if Terms of Use are explicit. I'm sure there are a lot of us that have value and are willing to share it but, are afraid to because of the worry of getting attacked online. I'd like to join that forum!
