I think the big deal is this is a taxpayer-funded organization pushing a message that is both offensive in its own right and totally inappropriate for a place where children should be encouraged to go. If we can't have religious symbols or memorials to our courageous ancestors in public places, we certainly should not tolerate this.

It really is sad that we have to explain why an arm of the government putting up grown perverts in front of children as entertainment and role models is wrong. The people in charge of these libraries should be fired and possibly prosecuted for child abuse.

 

I will note this is not the first time librarians have betrayed the public trust. In many cities they have encouraged the misuse of library facilities by homeless people and various wackos, most notably by allowing them to screen porn on library computers.
