Dr. Carson: Obama Is Trying To Destroy The Country

Dr. Benjamin Carson, the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital who garnered national headlines for his pointed remarks at last month’s National Prayer Breakfast, says that President Obama and his political allies are trying to “destroy the country.”

“Let’s say somebody were [in the White House] and they wanted to destroy this nation,” Carson postulated in remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference. “I would create division among the people, encourage a culture of ridicule for basic morality and the principles that made and sustained the country, undermine the financial stability of the nation, and weaken and destroy the military. It appears coincidentally that those are the very things that are happening right now.”

Carson, who is 62, said that the blame for the nation’s current state of affairs does not lie with “any one particular person.” His barbs, though, were clearly aimed at President Obama.

Drawing a link between his medical practice and his political beliefs, Carson argued that righting the nation’s course requires governance “of and by the people.” “That’s why we have these complex brains,” he explained, and went on to joke, “the number of interconnections you have [between neurons] rivals the national debt.”

At the National Prayer Breakfast in February, Carson — with President Obama as a captive audience — lodged a full-frontal assault on the president’s agenda, from progressive taxation to Obamacare. Carson’s remarks led to calls, most notably from the Wall Street Journal editorial board, for him to launch a presidential bid come 2016. He will retire from medicine in three months and, though he declined to discuss his particular plans, he indicated that he hopes to become further involved in educational initiatives; Carson founded a scholarship fund in 1996.

In an event billed as “President Obama’s (National Prayer) Breakfast Club,” Carson shared the stage with Eric Metaxas, the author of a biography of the German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who used his time on stage at 2012’s breakfast to argue that progressives have distorted Christianity in the service of political ideology.

According to some righties on this site, " of and by the people" would not include him. I wonder if he is aware of that ?

 

Which ones? I don't know of any.

 

I think obama has made it quite clear that it does not include himself, he's exempt from all of those constraints.

 

you see a conservative black guy being embraced by conservatives and some republicans and it bothers you so much you find a way to bring racism into it?

Let a black man speak with integrity and intelligence without finding a way to call him uncle tom.

The party with by far the most racism is the democrat party.
The union guys, the race hustlers. Every day on MSNBC someone blames something ridiculous on race.

I have no doubt there is some racism left in america... but its about time you lefties let some black people say intelligent stuff without being called and uncle tom.

What bothers people like 99cent about people who point out the soft bigotry of low expectations is deep down they know they are inferior and need the lower standards.

So when someone who comes along who doesn't happen to need those crutches and shares their same skin tone they get more jealous than jilted shrews, it's incredible how fast they become backstabbers.

 

We are marching forward with a Marxist vision, no doubt about that. Marxists are such shitheads. Politics is all local, I'm bored, I'm going to find some local marxists and "ping" them to see what they are all up to, "engage in some dialogue" perhaps. I'll post here, or maybe on youtube.. when I get some results.

I live in a very leftist place, the voting fraud is way over the top for openers, just way over the top. That has been used to keep draining money from the outlying areas where the wealthy people have ranches and spend it on the lower income losers that are drawn to this area. It's a mecca for low income losers.

Most people would not know it but I'm a devoted follower of Karl Marx. He said it's the guy with the machines that makes the money and I'm learning to script trading thingies... Thank you Karl! I wonder if old Karl told how to hang onto the money once I get it, gotta go back for another readup...
