Down to about $90k, where would you park it if your trading skills were trash?

You are comparing no trading experience to not a great track record. Totally different thing.

would you talk to a trading psychologist who traded for Goldman but was fired for poor performance?

  2. Hello newwurldmn,

This is just my opinion alone here.

But I actually think ET forum website is a great place to learn how to get rich trading the Futures market.

I learned everything right here on ET forum website and now I make money everyday and pretty easy too. I just talk to members in the past and they help me. That is it. Nothing special at all. And click everyday.

I think searching for help outside of ET forum website is a complete waste of time.

I also think the best way learn to be a ES futures market Master is to just do whatever you want to do everyday and just try to make money. Eventually everything will line up.

Constantly looking for help or asking people to show track record is a waste of time IMO. noone is going to show that. It is best to just ask ET forum members how to make money everyday and go from there. Even if the ideas are not good to you, does not matter. Just try it out. That is all I did. Pretty easy too.

So @zghorner just start asking members how to make alot of money man. And keep it simple.

Us as traders make it soooo complicated and it should not be.

What you describe is trying to pick out the top 20% and figuring out who is 1, 2 or 3. What I would like to focus on is eliminating the bottom 50%. We have guys here who make some pretty big claims, but come up with every excuse under the sun for why they can't call a trade in real time. Some people even use astrology!

And yes, if you're fired for poor performance, why would I listen to you? If you're in a bad streak which is statistically expected, fine, but if you're nervous cause you have a new baby on the way and mortgage up for renewal and crack under the pressure and yet teach trading psychology... how good is your couching going to be?

  4. Hello NoahA,

ET members give good advice on trading too. They can help alot.

Some good members here on the ET website help me become an ES Futures Market Master. So I am thankful for them big time.

And I never care about their track record or any of that stuff. Just trying to see how to make money man.

    Agree.

I must say people were a lot more helpful back then and less sarcasms.

all the latter stuff is a strawman especially considering your first paragraph.

you eliminate the bottom 50percent by listening to what they have to say.

No offense but if you think they are good, and yet nothing has helped you yet be profitable, then maybe their advice isn't as good as you think?? Who knows, maybe the problem is you, but it's also likely their advice is no good. At least if you know they were highly profitable, then we could conclude that they know how to make money. The knowledge might not be easily transferable, or the student might be horrible at learning or following direction, but the worst combination is a capable student matched up with a charlatan.

  10. Hello NoahA,

I agree and understand where you coming from and respect your opinion. I understand where you coming from. Ideally we want to learn from other traders who have a proven profitable track record. That makes sense, however, that is very challenging and hard to obtain.

We all have to learn and make money to what fits our personality.

Their help definitely assisted me on becoming a consistent profitable ES Future Market master.

It is not hard to be profitable, just have to ask and get help.
