For an individual/retail equity day trader, what is the cost to subscribe to Dow Jones news? Looking to get news on the economy, markets, and breaking news on stocks, don't need headlines on commodities, or other non related new stories.

How much am I looking at per month?

For earnings release, is the Dow Jones the best? What about Reuters?

Dow Jones is typically free if you are an active trader with Scottrade or TD Ameritrade. To purchase it outside of those programs you are looking at $30 a month through TD Ameritrade. This may require an account with them though. I don't think you can buy direct from Dow Jones. Reuters is fine for company specific news if you can get it cheap through Interactive Brokers. Otherwise not really feasible for most individuals. Dow Jones will give you more macroeconomic information and information on more different companies than IB's program.
