Dow Emini: how tradable is it?

  1. It was tradable today. Easily moved in and out of the market with 2 and 3 lots. Nice range also.

    Heh, heh. I got even today. Big time. :) Of course I would've had my best point day ever if I'd gotten my fill at 818.25 just before the news hit.

    CHICAGO, March 13—The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced that a new daily volume record was set for mini-sized Dow Jones futures with 43,416 contracts traded on March 12, breaking the previous record of 36,083 contracts set on February 14, 2003

    It's just a matter of when the institutions decide to get involved in this contract when we will see the number go from 5 digits to 6 imo.........then it should be good. (I think this is a pretty obvious statement, I am just thinking out loud)...then I'll get to add cbot/ace to my X .....fun fun.

    Volume is not everything!

    I prefer cleaner charts to deafening noise.

  8. You're right, volume was lighter than normal in YMH3 because of rollover.

    In fact dow futures volume is picking up. Checking on volume info at CBOT :

  9. Dow futures volume is really picking up lately ... according to CBOT volume statistics for the top ten trading days
