DOW at ~ 8250 (cash equivalent) is The Bottom!

  1. no shit. almost everyone is wrong, and no one cares what others think. Just trade and go with the flow. Making predictions on public forums, other than I'm bullish or bearish, is silly. mostly its done by people that don't make much trading. The good guys just stay quiet about this stuff (usually cause they know they don't know).

BTW, futures dropped another 400 points from that, even IF this is the bottom. may be a bottom, which you were wrong on anyway. I doubt it is THE bottom as the global recession has barely begun. markets bottom about half way through recessions.

  2. Your call was wrong. There was a 10% lower print when the US session opened.

    Now please leave.

  5. Folks, here is how I traded it today. I am copying and pasting the trading post from RFT's blog:

"As predicted in the article of 12 hours ago, today October 10, 2008, we declare the end of the Stock Market Crash 2008. We are back to normal trading--Stock Market Crash 2008 Ended Today 10-10-2008 (10/10/2008).

1:19PM: with NXD at 1219, we are starting to scale in on long side.

1:49PM: with NXD at 1198, we have added a second part to the position.

    PROFIT TAKING:

3:35PM: with NDX at 1315, we are offloading the long position.

More than 100 NDX points profits is enough. LONG LIVE THE BLOG!

  7. I agree with your concern, but one should remember that there is a reason for the bottom: it already did the cleaning in the bear market of 200-2003.

  10. The screen is above. Ask ET members who follow my blog. They know that the above is real-time, and that it is the truth.
