  3. Okay, let's look a bit deeper here. Greg says people shouldn't necessarily listen to Dorian Yates because Yates took PEDs. He suggests that you should listen to him because of the knowledge base he developed after years of reading muscle mags. Greg, who himself takes steroids and refers to muscle mags depicting steroid-infused bodybuilders with their supposed workout routines. Any thoughts here? :D And I say "supposed" because it has been often claimed that many of the routines presented in muscle mags over the years and attributed to specific bodybuilders were in fact concocted by staff writers simply to sell copy.

Okay, but apart from Greg's internally unpersuasive argument, consider some information I have already presented elsewhere in this forum. First, you will recall that Brad Schoenfeld et al, who are volume devotees, put out a research paper essentially concluding the more volume the better:

This research was logically eviscerated by Ralph Carpinelli's narrative analysis:

    https://www.researchgate.net/public...or_Muscle_Hypertrophy_in_Experienced_Trainees

On top of that, there is a paper which concludes that the Schoenfeld study's own statistics do not support its conclusions:

So where does that leave Coach Greg? Thoughts? :D
