For over two decades on ET I never had anyone on ignore. Over recent months several users have become so abusive and value-free that I placed six of them on ignore (block). I don't see any reason to revert that decision.
Then you are failing in your brain. You had nobody on your ignore list for 2 decades. All of a sudden, you felt you needed to place them on /ignore. Don't you see, you are getting old and you are letting it get to you? I've been interacting with online forums since the mid 1980s. I've seen it all. Truly you have been through the mill as well. I have learned to not let it get to me. Sometimes it does, and I freely admit that. I get into mini-flame wars on occasion here. But I have NEVER, EVER blocked someone from my conversation. That is cowardice or cheep or something. Methinks YOU, GWB, have become so close-minded that you no longer want to see an other(sic) side of a discussion.
"GWB et. al. were told to do so. They are tools, nothing more." re: to tool out to the ignore cult, lol. Ask him, has anyone suggested he or others use "ignore" feature within the last couple of weeks? See what is said. lol.
K, I will ask him, assuming you and/or GWB have each other in ignore... @gwb-trading --------------------- "GWB et. al. were told to do so. I am just unwilling to put up with abusive posters who add no value anymore. You can call this growing old, cowardice, or anything else you please. If people are civil when discussing politics -- as I try to be all the time -- then there would no need to put abusive people who add no value on ignore. Sadly there are clowns on this forum who get their kicks by posting continuous misinformation from disreputable sources while abusing posters who actually bring forward facts from respectable mainstream sources. This problem has become worse in recent years -- coupled with the rise of absurd level of online misinformation becoming the norm rather than an exception (e.g. "stolen election", anti-vax, QAnon talking points, etc.). IMO there is no longer any reason to engage with these abusive clowns -- who lack any civility whatsoever in their online interactions. I am happy to discuss politics in a civil manner and perfectly willing to engage with other posters in fact-based conversations which include opinions plus different guidance on proposed solutions -- but these type of conversations on ET (and elsewhere) appear to be a relic of the past.
Ahh HAH! We have found what truly bugs you. Yes, I have seen this bit of you in the COVID threads with wrb? Hell, I cannot remember the nick. You hate that guy, hehe Man, I dunno. From my perspective? Perhaps if you just took a week off, you would see things differently? I just fucking hate that ignore feature. It destroys the community discussions. Or you can remove your ignores for a week? BAH! I remember when life was fun. Time for you to think about it! And LISTEN!
See how much confusion the ignore thing impales into our hearts? Nobody knows who is ignoring who? I was just trying to be a messenger! Nobody knows fuck all about what is up! Buggers!
