Biden has nominated at least two opponents of fossil fuel to key financial regulation posts—although those nominations were ultimately defeated. On the campaign trail, Biden said a number of times that he would end fossil fuels and stand athwart fossil fuel expansion. One of his first actions as president was to cancel the permits needed for the Keystone Pipeline. Biden increased the royalty rate—essentially, a tax rate—on oil production on federal lands by 50 percent this year, the first hike in 100 years.

    The Quinnipac University poll

The poll found that 69% of Americans believe the president has some or a lot of control over inflation, including rising gas prices. According to the poll, only 32% of Americans approve of Biden's handling of the economy, with 62% disapproving.

The price of gas and consumer goods were of the most economic concern to the voters. The poll states that 68% of Americans believe the price of gas is either a very serious (30%) or somewhat serious (38%) problem for their family.

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on Wednesday appeared to contract President Biden’s repeated insistence that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was the primary driver behind inflation in the U.S. During a Senate Banking Committee hearing, Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., got Powell to admit that inflation was high well before Russia’s Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine.

"I’m glad to hear you say that. The Biden administration seems to be intent on deflecting blame," Hagerty said, noting that as recently as Sunday, the administration "spread the misinformation that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was the ‘biggest single driver of inflation.’"

Do you see how silent the left on this thread? It is yet another proven tactic. There is nothing to see here. Put more crap into other threads to avoid the inconvenient topic.

First today's hint -- nearly no one sees threads started by wildchild since the vast majority of people have him on ignore. Hence the lack of responses.

I don't have him/her on ignore. I put nobody on ignore. Because I have the guts to face my accusers/people who challenge me with what I type.

It would be very refreshing if the other users of this forum just deleted their ignore/block lists. Very annoying. You guys mess it up for everyone.

Including you, GWB. Delete your ignore list!
