Exactly.....you have no answer. Your brain quit on logic because..you don't know anything about the Constitution. Thank you for admitting it. The SC defined one narrow exception in a 2022 case in Maine but still limited funds away for worship sponsored education. If a voucher system lets tax money pay for students to choose religious schools open ended....it is unconstitutional Blah blah all you want you are out of your league. It's not in the constitution that freedom of speech can be limited ut the SC decided when it can. Have fun relearning what the SC role is. Blah blah
my league is to support the constitution and SC decisions and finally help to improve the failing education system in this country on basic US history
There are massive reasons why the state funds education for all children. The economic and social health of the nation depends on it. This can't be left in the hands of dimwits like yourself who fail to understand the bigger picture. Guys like you like to pretend you don't need govt organized services ... until you do need it. Funny how in a medical emergency or a weather emergency suddenly even you crackpots accept the help. Guys like you don't understand insurance either.
The Teacher Unions in Chicago, NYC and Baltimore can spout whatever nonsense they want (and their union leaders generally do). The bottom line is that all of these states require public and private schools to administer standardized tests. Red states generally do not require schools — especially private ones— to administer standardized tests or to adhere to educational standards. Nor do they allow teacher unions. Let’s also mention that many red states allow home schooling and provide taxpayer money for it (including N.C.). Families who home school their children do not have to provide grades or any information on educational progress. Many of these home school families don’t actually educate their children at all — yet in red states they receive taxpayer funds to teach their children. At this point vouchers for private schools and homeschooling are nothing more than a wholesale fraud on taxpayers — these vouchers to entities that do not adhere to proper educational standards need to be eliminated.
Funding to public schools that have failed students for decades needs to be eliminated and made available to parents to make choices. Start thinking like an American rather than just as a Democrat. I know it would be a big change for you so start small. Maybe do the Trump dance a little each day.
The best alternative is non-profit charter schools which are publicly funded. Some of the top schools in the U.S. are charter schools including Raleigh Charter located near U.S. For-profit charter schools mostly have proven to be scams. The non-profits charters generally excel above public schools. If we are going to give taxpayer funds to alternative educational solutions then charter schools are the most effective alternative. All of these charters are expected to align with educational standards including testing as part of their charter. Using taxpayer money for vouchers for private schools and homeschooling is a waste of money — especially in red states where over 80% of these entities do not adhere to educational standards or perform standardized testing. In closing I will note that majority of the U.S. public schools systems have been very successful at educating students. There are a few large cities which are fiascos such as Chicago. However these failed large cities are not representative of the overall U.S. public educational system.
Where public schools are the better choice for a parent the parents can apply their voucher to the public school option.
That’s not the way vouchers work. They are one way only — taking taxpayer money AWAY from public schools to GIVE it to private schools and parents.
