  1. Nothing on the opening today, I will be heading for San Francisco.

I'm checking into the hospital on Monday (heart surgery), so I will miss a couple of openings.....so everyone do well!!

Don- what? no laptop in the hospital? Best wishes and thanks again for your contributions here (and to my account).

Lowered size alot, and expanded my envelope a hair. Still ended up with 7 fills- 4 long 3 short nice mix.

4 wins 3 losses net positive 43 pennies.

I took MMM off my list this morning because of the CSFB upgrade.

    Not me -

I treat MMM as a "mini-Internet" stock (don't laugh :) ) - the stock has wild swings (not surprising, given it's price.) If I were going to play it, I would probably want a large edge, i.e., 1.5% envelopes, so one fill in a blue moon.

  9. The edge

    The edge

I been trading MMM for 3 months now, though it seems wild it generates consistent profits for me, about 75% of trades in this stock is in the black. Why on earth would you trade MMM today? If you don't follow the news what is there to be expected? Good luck! BTW, I keep a .4 envelope in this one. There is now difference in profitability if you use .5 or .4.

    To everybody,

How long do you stay in a stock that has a delayed opening (assuming no news)? Does anybody have a rule of thumb? How long of a delay on the open makes you nervous, so that you think there may be something unanticipated about the stock? Ideas? Rules?
