  3. I agree on the opening. that is the one time where you can get around this. I was refering to intra day trading/scalping...

  4. OK....we have to keep our constant envelopes running to insure the same treatment during the day...same rules apply....this replaces all the momentum and RS plays.

All the Best and Have a good Holiday!!

5 for 6 today, +.86 I've found that these thin, nothing days can yield some good results. I remember the half-day before christmas last year was also really good for the open.

November turned out to be an above average month for openings for me.

traded 18 out of 19 days. 13 wins, 5 losses
biggest win day $1858 on the 19th
biggest losing day -$798 on the 18th
    172 fills, 76 long, 96 short
7.2% average fill rate (at .9% envelope each day)
    66% win rate
$7.45 gross cents, 1.29 net cents per share traded

    Good luck in December,
    Corey

  6. When you say $7.45 gross cents do you mean that if you add up all your winners and losers for the entire month that this is what your gross profit is?

Gross cents means the total of wins and losses, in cents per share. If one day I have wins of .08, .20 and .15, and have losers of -.1 and -.15, I grossed 18 cents before commissions. If I traded 1000 shares on every position, that would be $180 profit.

I vary my share size greatly between stocks, so this number doesn't always correlate very well to my net profit in $ terms. I can have days where I'm down in how many cents I made, but still make money. This is because I had small share size in the losers and larger size in the winners.

Most stocks on my list, I trade 1500-2500 shares. Some I do 4-5000. When I trying out new stocks, it's around 1000.

  9. 4 winners, 1 loser of those who were filled on the opening today.
GE was a simple "no brainer' yet one more time....

    Nice movements mid morning....decent enveloping....

Bootcampers are in their last month now...and will be kicking it up a bit...I will invite them to return after the Holidays if they want to participate here in Vegas a little longer...some are even thinking about staying here (why would anyone live anywhere else?? LOl).

  10. OK, I got "back in the saddle" again...put in 6, filled on 2 with a .4 envelope...made 7 cents and 6 cents for a total of 13 cents.

I will check with the bootcampers in a while...

I have an appointment, so I'll be back this afternoon.

Tight envelopes everyone....all day long...keep it up!!
