  6. Getting back in to doing opening orders.

I had quit doing opening orders because it was too much stress (for me at least) to try to handle a bunch of fills all coming at once. Now I have a new tool to help me out with that.

See the thread in PRO FIRMS concerning Echo's new automation software.

Today, 17 fills, I tightened up my entry envelopes.

    14 winners of varying profitability
3 losers, 2 light and darnit MO.

We'll see if my entry points keep working.

I can hardly wait for the day I have 14 losers and 3 winners.

  7. July 16, bad day lost $1700 approx.

    July 17 +$420.

And after we prosecute the person who posted the erroneous information from my personal trading account....I will go back to giving more details. Even posting actual information on someone else is pretty stupid. I have been pretty open with my results on this board, and I hate to see someone keep their freedom for infgringng the rights of others. Hiding behind aliases does not work.

The ironic thing is that even though the numbers were wrong, they seemed to prove a pretty reliable strategy. And I have yet to see anyone else have a strategy (in real time) that works nearly as well.

A classic case of "shooting yourself in the foot"....or a perfect "backfiring"...

If they turn themselves in with 72 hours, then I will not prosecute.....but if not, we will find them.

This is a serious business, and we must treat each other with respect. If I were to post the sheets of my failed traders (who have gone elsewhere to fail), then I would be in the wrong.

Anyway, enough 'sour grapes".......I will not be posting results until this legal issue is resloved.

  9. What's the crime Don? If the data in the post is wrong it suggests your personal records were not criminally appropriated.

If you mean libel, that is a civil matter and there is no prosecution for that. You have to sue. And to prevail, you have to prove that the data were deliberately misrepresented or invented outright and done so with malice aforethought. If you can do that then you have the court consider damages. Then you have to place a value on those damages. You will have to prove that you were emotionally tormented (you said you were not) and/or that you have suffered financially as a result of the posting.

  10. but regarding pre opening Indications

the following is from the NYSE website

An approximation of what a stock's opening price will be after a delayed opening or following a halt. Pre-opening ITS indications are disseminated prior to each stock’s opening. These are non-firm quotes and disseminated as administrative messages via the Consolidated Tape or in FIX-formatted messages via MDX.

is this a real edge , or is it just as good to know the approx high

and low overnight and in pre market trading to get a good idea

    of the opening price ?
