Don- Can you share one or two stocks you would have used today...and post the size of the envelope along with your exit points or target. Also, there are many days that I will get 5 or 6 fills on 15 order's and then other days where i won't get any. So my question is, Do you adjust your envelope from day to day? And if so, why? TIA Uptik
I would assume that answering critics is tiring, I usually don't bother answering the critics here at elite who voice their opinion my direction. Who really cares what they think? They are either correct or incorrect in their opinion, and as my reputation in this forum has nothing to do with my personal business, I don't care. You, however, seem to feel the need to protect your image. Perhaps you take criticism personally, maybe you are trying to protect those "virgin" traders who might come to work for you some day. I don't really know what your inner motivation is, nor can anyone prove what it is. You can take my comments personally, or you can take them professionally, really it is your choice. I can tell you this, it is not about you personally from my perspective, I would be doing the exact same thing if it were someone else (and have consistently done so elsewhere) and they were acting in a manner which I believed to be unethical. It is of course just my opinion, as ethics cannot be proven...only deduced from available evidence. Whether or not you are just participating like everyone else, or whether you are using this forum as a marketing tool....who can say? People draw their own conclusions. I have my take, you have yours. You have your supporters and critics, I have my critics and occasional supporters. It really doesn't matter. Imagine a life where you lived to answer the critics and keep your supporters. Hardly a self-guided existence in my opinion. Hopefully, those without bias will just do the necessary research and come to an intelligent decision about what is the correct course of action to take with their trading and their careers. If they do the proper groundwork, and end up being fooled or deceived in the process, well I guess they will be more careful next time around. Life happens. 777

V- i didn't, and still can't see any thing for today Vhen.....I did go back and look...but I was hoping Don would share his stocks for today so that I can look at it....it helps if I can actually see it. but thanks for your input.
I adjust my envelope every day. From .5 to 1.0. I sometimes have the "buy" at 1.0 and the "sell" at .6 or so to reflect the market sentiment that day. When the S&P's are less than 5 points from Fair Value, then I use the lower envelope. When they are between 5-15 points, I scale up to the 1.0. Keep the porfolio diversified. Today's winners would have been BAC, C, and a couple of others (I had to go to the dentist today). If you like, I can post my envelopes daily for a while. Don
Don- Thanks for posting that. It's exactly what I wanted. Now I can compare it with mine. I don't expect anyone to post there exact trades. That example should do just fine. Thanks again. Uptik2000
Excellent....I agree with you (and I promise you that this is not a "marketing ploy" - and you can choose to believe that or not, I hope you do)..If you notice many of my posts, I suggest that everyone do their "due diligence" from the information that is made available to them. As I've mentioned before, yo and I may actually agree on many things about this business. Peace. Don
You're more than welcome, and I hope that everyone can make some money using this strategy. Good Luck.... Don
I think that if I catch my neighbor stealing CD's from my car, or worse yet getting it on with my wife, well then I have pretty much proven his ethics-or lack thereof-have I not?
No, you have a view of his actions, but you don't know his motivations. Perhaps your wife asked him to take the CD's from the car, and perhaps she was hiring the man to teach her to be a better lover to improve relations with you. In that sense, he would have been providing an ethical service. You can NEVER know what is behind someone's actions, you can only speculate. Motivation is NEVER seen, only deduced. Only the man who is acting, and GOD knows what is in the heart and mind of a man when he is acting. That's why they call it acting.
