i'm very frustrated with my own poor trading. 1 winner 1 loser plus 2 scratch trades. on one of the scratches i oversold, so not only did i exit a trade that started moving as soon i got out, i shorted it. it cost me twenty cents (plus the 50 cents i missed out on). i waited for the other two to move for a couple minutes, and when they didn't, i got out. of course, they ripped 30-50 cents a piece, as did the one i took a small profit on. so, to summarize: stock a: +12 cents out of +40 stock b: -20 cents out of +50 stock c: 0 out of +30 stock d: -15 cents so, i was down $170, instead of being up a potential $500. second day in a row where i'm showing a loss when i should be up.
Bought TXN at 23.85, it went lower, then back up (It traded at 23.90), I sold at 23.76, took a small loss. That's it... Don
Look out for the S&P additions and take aways today. Adding: GS, UPS, Ebay, PRU, PFG, ERTS, SDS. Out: RD, UN, NT, AL, ABX, PDG, N Don
Filled on 8, 6 profits, 2 losses....eaked out $535.... I was slow in placing my "slingshot" on VIA.B...and it cost me over $1,000, or else we would have had a much better day. LLY good, BMY good, MRK not so good.... Don
Don, did you get the "slingshot" in LLY? I tried but wasn't filled. I was filled in long in LLY and entered a sell order at 49,09 right after the opening (as I had quite a few fills today and wasn't able to read the tape). Almost a minute later I saw LLY trading at 49,15 (7800 shares), but much to my surprise I wasn't filled (it traded at 49,15 about 39 secs after my sell order was confirmed). This has never happended to me before. How could he ignore my order?
am I the only one that finds the post at the top of page 31, shall we say, rather strange!!! hmmmmmm!! I keep coming up with only one explanation!
