sorry for having you go over this again ... but

is the 1 % envelope based on the limits of the premarket trading

in the listed stocks or based on correlation of big caps to futures?

  2. Not really, I use 1.0 as a maximum....my thinking is that if the stocks open wider than that, great ..because we are looking for wider gaps anyway. Not getting filled within that small difference generally won't make any difference in the long run.

Keep at it, you should do fine!!

  3. Used a .75 envelope, 3 of 4 winners = $560.

Everyone...look for extreme "window dressing" today. This is the last day of the month, the quarter, the fiscal year for Gov't, etc.

  4. The envelope percentage is a function of your own desire to get "filled" on how many stocks. The more narrow the envelope, the higher more likely you will be to have more fills.

The FV number is where the stock should open, all things being equal, and we envelope that.

  6. OK, let's post on this thread for a while again, we got side -tracked to the old beginning thread....just to keep Baron happy...
Looks like a slightly higher opening...I don'e expect too much today ...and we may get slower until the Holiday is over.

    Good Luck....

down a few pennies today, axp got me for 20 cents but I reversed that trade and got it back. No fills on Friday, 6 day win streak prior to that. Today's open was pretty blah, but after last week and Friday of the week before, that's to be expected.

  9. Not sure why the problems today from a couple of you...did you check your pre market indications on the individual stocks? I know I had to adjust AOL to fit into the new pricing.

Today looks pretty flat, I'll stick with .75 and see where we go!!
