I don't trade options...yet....just equities and futures. Volatility Breakouts essentially involve taking a measure of normal stock behavior, then searching for abnormal behavior. WHen you find it, you determine direction and run with it. Mean Reversion, involves searching for over valued/under valued securities, and sell/buy them with the expectation that the values will come back in line. BOth strategies have their strengths and weaknesses. Good trading!
.50 both sides, 400 shares each side 4 out of 6 filled 2 winners, 2 losers, net of $60. Got filled short on GLW, bailed at just the right time, coulda been ugly
2 shorts, naturally got spanked, -493. Mr. Specialist gapped me up the second I tried to exit or the damage would have been less than half that...
LOL, well I took C and MCD out of my openings this morning. Then I rebooted my worksheet, they were both back in....took a bit of a ride, but actually netted up with those two plus 2 more stocks. Anyway, up$400 today. Boot camp starts today, but I'll try to keep up with you guys. Don
3 long, 2 winners (small despite the opening surge), 1 loser, scratch -9 I may be joining mschey on the OPG bench. There seems to be a drought going on; if not, I suck and need to retool. But usually when things are better you get more posters to the OPG board.
