----Just keep in mind that we're noticing a bit longer hold period does seem to work a bit more often these days...."don't get crazy with it" however....--- Brings up an interesting point. OOs work because you are trading on the same side of the specialist, hopefully. But if you lengthen the hold time, are you still on the side of the specialist? I would think the specialist would be "long gone" after a few minutes, so where is your edge in the case of long hold times?
2 long wins, +243 There was quite a bit more milk left in both cows, but didn't want to be greedy during a "dead" week...
Did not trade oo today. fyi, the last time the fed met, the ranges on the spu's were: mon: 4.25 tues: 5.25 wed: 9.25 (fed meeting day) thurs: 23.25 fri: 18.50 let's see what happens this week, fed meets on thursday and fri starts a long holiday weekend for most AND end of quarter is fri.
Maybe this was true in the past, but I don't think OO's have much to do with the specialist or fair value. I think they are just a form of a gap reversal.
vendor issues... unable to trade... system says around 200 profit on 2 fills... 1 long / 1 short 1500 shares each - .75 / + .75%
2 fills, BBY and DD. Up $300 (coulds been better, coulda been a lot worse with DD especially...I gotta start checking "pre-market" activity, LOL). Don
I have a T&S ticker linked to my Order Montage (REDI). I always type every symbol in pre-market to make sure I don't bushwacked. Lot of times a stock will be active with no apparent news.
Hmmm? That sounds interesting.....I'm have someone working a modification to my opening program to seach the "red line" of yahoo finance pre-open.....but this might work...worried about the bandwidth of linking 50-100 stocks, tu it may not matter pre-open. How many stocks do you do this with? (Always willing to learn a "better way"). Don
