Yeah I folded just like a newbie....500K shares offered right after the opening.....literally 5 minutes longer woulda been +$1000 more...."oh well"...LOL.. Don
22 fills / 34500 shares 19 long / 3 short / -2592.00 - 0.00 / + 1.55% worst day ever for openings... too much to watch...next time i will watch p&l instead of positions as there were so many i couldn't pick which one to cover first... winners evaporated and losers just hung around...
A bit of a battle this morning...9 fills, and then I kick my computer, shutting off my auto closing program...went from $1200 up to $500 down, wound up +$400 after all the dust settled....(fingers tired now, LOL)... Don
No fills yesterday. Today 1 long fill, -90 Bizzare the number of long fills on the board today given a gap up open.
Watching that thread regulary for several months now. Althought I'm a futures trader I find that approach very interesting. I'm sorry to see you taking that big loss, Chiguy. But I'm also sure you'll make it back on track. Saico
Chi' Crike... is there any other way... i didn't know there was... cj.. __________________ HAVE STOP - WILL TRADE If You Have The Vision We Have The Code
20 fills / 31000 20 long / -2927.00 - .4 / + 1.1% covered at 8:34 as it looked like we were going to break down... watched p&l go to over 10,000+ as of 08:54... can't catch a break... i thought we would open weak and rally but i guess i did not wait quite long enough... this is getting hard to take... maybe time for a break...
2 fills ge and xom small profit. I bailed on xom when it got back to break even. To chi.... I got filled on 2 of 11 using a .004 envelope and only entering the buys. Is 2 of 11 the same ratio of fills that you got? Your swings may actually be in the same proportion as mine. I'm doing 1,000 shares each. I'm guessing you're just on a higher level of fills, thus a higher level of volatility, etc. I don't think I'm at the stage where I could handle 10-20 fills at one time. My next step is to increase share size to 1500 and then to 2000. I think it is better for me to increase share size, but not increase the number of issues. I believe that it is easier to execute higher share volume rather than large numbers of issues in this particular strategy. Just a thought....trying to give you some ideas (which I know you've considered already)
got a pm suggesting that my calc was off... turns out it was as i forgot to account for futures closing under water... i also bailed too soon due to being shell schocked from yesterday... it is amazing how many ways you can hurt yourself...
