2 fills / 3000 shares 2 long / -1965.00 - 1.0 / + .5 % bought nsc and watched it turn on me...saw bni in the order que and let it trade rather than cancel figuring that the delayed opening would remove some risk from the trade... i was wrong and i knew it but did nothing to stop it... been the worst two trading days for me back to back... time to take a break...time to regroup... index arb has been brutal...trade shows up on screen and withers away to nothing or a locked in loss... i am sure i will miss it now that i've gotten smacked and gunshy...
Just dropping in....missed quite a few openings due to some running around California....Back to tweaking the automated program....but put AMD in this morning...and stop loss didn't work right....I fixed it...back at it tomorrow.....After I get 20 days of no mechanical concerns I'll post the full results. Also, I have two other traders using the program and helping... Corey...how are you doing this year so far?? Don
No fills today. Hang in there Chiguy, that was a brutal one-two punch in the same day. What was up with the railroads? I heard old Mr. Cramer saying to sell them last night, but I can't believe that he could have that much of an impact on stocks of that size.
The year has pretty much sucked for me for openings. January was -$1200, February was +$13,000, March so far is -$3500. I've only missed trading one day, and it would have been a +$5,000 day in January - figures. I think I've only had two or three small losing months in the last 4 years before '06. The goal for the year for this strategy is $100k, so as of now I'm about $11,000 behind schedule with the slow summer months still to come. I've spent a lot of time on new strategies this year though, and it's helped smooth things out overall. I'm almost on pace for my yearly goal, despite openings underperforming. Corey
