  2. In calculating FV on each stock, we use the excel sheets, however, how does the Index-ARb and the Program-Trade numbers interplay?

It seems that the Index Arb is a smoothed Prog-Trad number?

    - .5 / + 1.0%

    arnie...my base envelope is -.75 / +.75 % if futures are unchanged...

1.5% wide market...that was my question...i will slide up or down depending on futures but i don't buy above or sell below last nights close...but i am always 1.5% wide...

  6. What is the expected impact of NYSE going the DohDoh way?

Since there will be, but to a less extent, Specialists opening NYSE stocks, won't these too be available through their automated systems, hence making the opening round meaningless or less significant?

  7. We'll just have to see. I am concerned, only because I don't like change, especially when it might take away a "bread and butter" strategy, but it will likely open the door to other things that will make money. That I do believe.

In anticipation of this, I have been expanding my strategy tool box to more intraday trading, looking at futures and other markets, and spending some time studying how nasdaq stocks trade.

  8. i havea feeling that the openings won't change much...

i see quicker snap backs intraday...or on the flip side bigger runs...we shall see...

looks like the short exempt list...remember those...will come into play more...

    just my 2 cents...

Put in only buys. If I would have done the sells then I would have had 2 fills for a very small profit (mer +200 and mcd - 50).

This quarter is shaping up to be very poor for this strategy for me. I'm not losing anything, but I'm not making much either (although my prop firm is, on the commissions).

I'll probably continue the strategy for a little longer, although, it usually gets even worse during the summer months.

I don't really see many others posting, so i don't know whether it's a reflection of others moving on to better money making trading ideas.

Haven't seen Don post in awhile, so I guess the opening order strategy may have seen its' better days.
