Only 1 short, HON +$165. I actually did a test "Camtasia" screen recording just for the heck of it, but it was more than Youtube would accept, length wise (150Mb, 100Mb limit I guess)... Not too exciting, LOL. I am thinking about doing a series of short videos for the website of Bob, me, other "Bright's" and traders every once in a while. Since we stopped our radio shor after 7 years, I get quite a few requests about different things. What do you guys thing? Any ideas for 3-6 mintute Q&A, or topics? Oh, and BTW, I will set up another Paltalk session with Maverick, perhaps next week. Don
I'd suggest a session on providing liquidity and taking liquidity in light of the new hybrid system. I am still not sure I 'get it.' I am pretty sure others don't either. For example, suppose I put an order on ARCA that is away from the market. But eventually that order can become the current bid/offer as the market moves. So have I provided liquidity in that case or taken it?
Adding or taking liquidity has nothing to do with hybrid. Taking liquidity is hitting bids and offers. Adding liquidity is being on the bid or offer and someone hitting you. You can pretty much assume that if you get an instant fill, you have taken liquidity.
How about Discretionary Limit Orders? say you enter a buy limit order with limit price $10 and discretionary amount $0.90. someone offers $10.90 and your order is excuted at $10.90. Am I adding or taking liquidity?
Sure guys...I am keeping track of the requests, and we will respond. And, yes Trish, there is a Santa Claus (we call him Lescor), making real money, month after month, and a few hundred others doing the same, LOL. Expiration day....go make some money everyone...back to you mid day... Don
Uneventful witching today, as expected. A glimmer of hope with the ES movement right before the bell, but nothing doin'. 3 longs- 2 winners and a loser for pocket change profits. Trish, you are quoting my stats for last year trading opening orders. Yes, I did about $200k last year with this strategy, thanks largely to a couple big days. This year is running about 75% below last year, and about half my historical average. Still worth it for 15 minutes of trading in the morning, but not what it used to be.
On the morning after an earning's spike, I exit the trade. ADBE today. Does anyone stay in it or re-enter later?
Entered sell side only, added a few extra stocks & added an extra layer on some stocks & still got no fills. Did anyone get filled or was anyone watching JNJ ??? He was indicating up & he was late to open by a couple minutes. Then a few small trades went off about 30 cents lower than yesterdays close on ARCA & I thought it was a mistake. I was too slow to get any & he opened down a couple seconds later & "woulda" worked. Maybe MOCs will be good.......
