1 fill long GE for a small win...anyone else noticed an increase in volatiity with GE since it converted to hybrid ?? It used to be a slow, stable, small mover, now whips around with wider moves. Maybe it will stabilize over time.
Yep. Seems to be that way for all the newly hybrid stocks, with a few exceptions. Wilder moves, bigger spreads. 2 long wins and a short loser today, +243
Agree on the hybrid stocks. Gotta give 'em more room. Might have to go in with smaller size and add. I had 11,000 GE this morning and scratched it. Then it rallied half a point. I've done this on PG a few times since it went hybrid too.
Gentleman, Bit and Shredd, and all. Just finished reading the last couple of pages of posts, and hope that everyone is on the same page by now. In the past, a few have "gone astray" - and for one reason or another did not "get" the entire concept of the opening only order play. I don't want want anyone to attempt the strategy, with perhaps an unclear understanding of what we're doing, and then lose some $$ and be unhappy. If a verbal description would be of more benefit, feel free to call me directly to chat about it. Another point...when you enter a 40.20 bid and get filled at 40.10, that is not really "price improvement" - it is simply filling you on the opening price. If you bought stock at 40.10 and tried to sell it at 40.20, and were filled at 40.30, then that "is" price improvement. As for me, Mon and Tues flat overall...having a few minor glitches after modifying my program...hopefully all will be back in working order soon. Don
You tube was down this morning, but Photobucket works pretty well too. Bob trading the opening today.... Don
For a few seconds there, I thought I saw a chart in the background on one of the monitors....naw.....couldn't be. Must be my imagination.
