Too many fills that I can handled. 10 losers, 21 flats (under 20 USD) and 7 winners for a loss of 700 USD
Today was strange. I got more fills than I expected given the flat futures pre-open, and most of them stunk. My big loser was an earnings report of a peer that I missed, but it would have been a down day nonetheless. 3 long, 2 short, 4 losers, 1 winner, -458.50
5 fills / 800 shares each 2 short / 3 long +40.00 - .8 / + .7 % from previous close blocked pep / hd would have been better if i held out.... but when the hair on the back of your neck stands up you pay attention to it... those that don't aren't around anymore...eaten by wild animals...
Okay day: 9 winners, 5 losers and 3 flats up about 500. Hi, DON: what happens to you ? Havent seen your post for sometimes now. Hope everything is allright with you. Just found out that the other day when I got too many fills, apparently in one of my basket orders, the limit OPG orders were sent as market on Open. On many stocks my buy and sell orders were immediately executed at the same prices (with no loss but commissions only). But on quite a number of orders only one side got fills and the other side got cancelled. I think it might be my executions (Hammer) that cancelled the other side as soon as one got filled. As expected the sides that got filled all of them except one are the the wrong side and I lost money. But I think that when you send orders as Market on Open, you are entitled for fills. I do not understand that only one side got fills and the other side got cancelled.
specialist balances orders... natual long sales get preference... i have been shut out on opg... today... software crashed right as i hit enter on o/o basket... nothing went...0.00 would have worked...oh well...
Must be contagious. My program crashed too, due to an error on my spreadsheet. Found and fixed the error about 20 seconds after open. My benchmarks show +$1700 for the day. I usually outperform my benchmarks. Sigh..... [insert sound of head banging on desk here]
