Flat Friday....Up $66. Getting ready for a long week. Pairs class starts today (Fri, Sat, Sun). My 3 day class starts Monday, with our 1 day advanced class Monday afternoon. And we also start our 5 week College class on Monday night (getting too old for this, LOL). Have a great weekend everyone! Don

No fills yesterday. 1 long fill today, scratch. Left 7 cents on the table as I had the audacity to pull my offers back a little when the market rallied. Unfortunately my stock decided to be a complete pig. Of course had I left the offers where they were I'm sure the stock would have taken off. Oh well. Since the Memorial Tournament is in town I may try to catch a few holes of Jack Nicklaus before he misses the cut. Have a good weekend all...
Anyone using IB to do openings, can you tell me how you import your orders to IB? Can you do it without the api? I calculate everything in excel and then either port it to a basket, or use a copy and paste macro for the other platforms I trade on. I want to be able to put symbol, size, side, order type and price from excel to IB. I don't know how to program or use the api. Any help would be appreciated.
I can't see how you could do it without the API. I built my original OO spreadsheet off of IB's sample spreadsheet for their DDE API. The sample spreadsheet will certainly take care of most of the order entry/IB specific mechanics for you. Then all you have to do is add all your fair value calculations, etc. The only thing somewhat difficult if you're not a programmer is adding functionality to loop through all your orders. FYI, now I just use the spreadsheet to store parameters and submit orders via the VB/ActiveX API, but the DDE worked fine. Just wanted to get fancier. PM me if you have a specific problem. I'm surprised to hear you looking at IB for OO's considering you are trading prop.
