Don's openings and more for 2005

  1. 1 long, 1 short, both losers, -62.50. Bailed too early on the long, just right on the short.

Was anyone able to get NYSE OPG imbalances this morning?

  3. Stating that new york would no longer be posting opening imbalances. What a rip!

FYI: Steelers @ Texans 1PM EDT Sunday, lets see if Pittsburgh can follow up on last week's impressive win before the Patriots come to town.

Nothing day as predicted by Lescor.
Basically up net for about 100 USD on 50,000 shares.
But CNBCreported that volumes is significantly above average today for NYSE so far...
I have never check the Opening Imbalaces when selecting my OPG. Do people use imbalance also to place OPG? And if you do, do you place sell only order for stocks with selling imbalance or vice versa?
    Thanks

  8. i don't use imbalances for the O/O stratergy but i did use it for the opening index arb trade...

now i get to wait till the last second like everyone else....

i only restrict entries on earnings and news...

usually indications gave you a hint as to what would be a brief (good) or extended gap (bad)....

    just my 2 cents...

  10. It's broadcast on NYSE's MDX system. You need to be a subscriber. But as a retail trader you can't subscribe, at least i haven't figured out how to get it. Most people referring to it here are prop traders.

    Doesn't matter now.....
