Trump urges people to recall 'how great of a job Donald Trump did as President'

Former President Donald Trump issued a statement on Thursday urging people to recall "how great of a job Donald Trump did as President" as they fill up their gas tanks over the holiday weekend.

"With Memorial Day Weekend coming up, tomorrow people start driving in the biggest automobile days of the year. I'm sorry to say the gasoline prices that you will be confronted with are far higher than they were just a short number of months ago where we had gasoline under $2 a gallon," Trump said. "Remember as you're watching the meter tick, and your dollars pile up, how great of a job Donald Trump did as President. Soon Russia and the Middle East will be making a fortune on oil, and you will be saying how good it was to have me as your President. Wasn't it great to be energy independent, but we are energy independent no more. Shame, shame, shame. Other than that, have a great Memorial Day Weekend!"

The national average price for regular gas is currently $3.041 per gallon, according to AAA, which also reports that the national average was $2.885 a month ago and $1.964 a year ago.

Bootlicker pitching ideas to Donnie to avoid jail time:

Trump is interested in running for House seat in 2022 in a bid to become Speaker and launch an impeachment inquiry against Biden
    • A radio host suggested to Trump that he should run for a House seat in 2022 and become Speaker.
    • Trump responded that it was a "very interesting" idea and might be better than running for Senate.
    • Trump could, theoretically, become House Speaker — but experts say it is very unlikely.

Former President Donald Trump has shown interest in running for a House seat in 2022 in a bid to became Speaker and consequently launch an impeachment investigation against President Joe Biden, Right Wing Watch first reported.

During an interview on Friday afternoon with VRAinsider.com, far-right radio host Wayne Allyn Root suggested that Trump runs for Congress in a bid to "wipe" Biden out.

    —Right Wing Watch (@RightWingWatch) June 4, 2021

"Why not, instead of waiting for 2024, and I'm hoping you'll run in 2024, but why not run in 2022 for the United States Congress? A House seat in Florida. Win big. Lead us to a dramatic landslide victory. Take the House by 50 seats," Root said.

"Then you become the Speaker of the House, lead the impeachment of Biden and start criminal investigations against Biden. You'll wipe him out for this last two years," the radio host continued.

Trump appeared to be taken by the idea. "That's so interesting," the former president said. "You know, it's very interesting," he added.

He then said that Root's idea "might be better" than the suggestion that he run for the Senate.

The Speaker strategy was previously touted by Steve Bannon, who told a group of Boston Republicans in February that Trump should run for Congress in 2022, the Boston Herald reported.

"We totally get rid of Nancy Pelosi, and the first act of President Trump as Speaker will be to impeach Joe Biden for his illegitimate activities of stealing the presidency," Bannon said, according to the Herald.

To become Speaker of the House, Trump would not be required to win a congressional seat. The Constitution does not require the speaker to be an incumbent member of the House of Representatives, although every speaker thus far has been.

He would, however, have to flip the House of Representatives and win the support of Republican lawmakers.

Experts say Trump taking on this role is theoretically possible but "not plausible," according to Politifact.

Trump is also said to be mulling another run for president. He told associates that he will run again in 2024 if he is healthy enough, Insider reported in late May.

Guess Donald doesn't really support free speech. He wants access to platforms suppressed around the world.

Trump Urges Other Countries to Follow Nigeria’s Move and Censor Twitter
    https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-urges-other-countries-to-follow-nigerias-move-and-censor-twitter

Donald Trump has praised Nigeria for banning “evil” Twitter and encouraged other countries to do the same in the name of “free and open speech.” Trump, who himself was banned by the platform for incendiary rhetoric, issued a statement reviving his old grievances after the platform banned Nigeria’s president. Earlier this week Nigerian officials warned its citizens that they may face jail time if they get caught tweeting. “More COUNTRIES should ban Twitter and Facebook for not allowing free and open speech—all voices should be heard. Who are they to dictate good when they themselves are evil?” Trump said in a statement. “Perhaps I should have done it while I was president.” Trump also appeared to confuse Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. “Zuckerberg kept calling me and coming to the White House for dinner telling me how great I was. 2024?” he wrote. The praise comes after it was announced earlier this month that Trump’s Facebook and Instagram would remain banned until early 2023.
