Uhhh who planned it? How about Chumpie I want a nicccce parade like France has ... is who. ‘Are you out of your mind?’: US Navy cancels New York 9/11 flyover tribute amid public outrage The US Navy has cancelled a planned flyover of New York City intended to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks amid widespread criticism. Branded as “tone deaf”, “insensitive”, and “verging on completely tasteless” by incredulous social media users, the plan also drew the ire of elected officials. Staten Island representative Max Rose tweeted: “Are you out of your mind? Cancel this immediately.” The mayor’s office was reportedly unaware of the planned tribute. A spokesperson said: “The mayor wasn’t aware of the flyover, and frankly, it’s inappropriate. He looks forward to thanking our heroes and honoring those we’ve lost at the ceremony this morning." The flyover was announced on Twitter by the city’s emergency notification system late on Thursday. A US Navy F-18 Super Hornet jet was scheduled to fly south down the Hudson River towards the Verrazano Narrows Bridge at an altitude of 2,500ft at 3.30pm. New York City residents were quick to respond calling the idea “insane and cruel” to those who still suffer post traumatic stress from the attacks. Pentagon officials confirmed the flyover was cancelled. It is unclear who planned the spectacle. Three other flyovers of the city were criticised earlier in the year for the same reason, but planning one on the anniversary of 9/11 crossed a line for many. On July 4 a military flyover took place as part of a 2020 Salute to America. In May, JetBlue’s display of passenger planes painted red, white and blue also sparked outrage despite being a tribute to healthcare workers. In April the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds coordinated a flyover of the city to honour first responders. That too was criticised for its cost at a time when New York was still struggling through the worst of the coronavirus outbreak. https://www.yahoo.com/news/mind-us-navy-cancels-york-172428119.html
No one ever accused Donnie of being high intellect; no shit sherlock: https://www.axios.com/trump-woodward-foreign-leaders-934d6cfe-d93e-438c-9f1b-01bc258864ff.html Trump says he gets along better with world leaders "the tougher and meaner they are" In a new clip from an interview with Bob Woodward, President Trump said that his relationships with world leaders are better "the tougher and meaner they are," naming Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as an example. What he's saying: "I get along very well with Erdogan, even though you're not supposed to because everyone says, 'What a horrible guy.' But, you know, for me it works out good," Trump told Woodward in a clip released on NBC's "Today." "It's funny, the relationships I have, the tougher and meaner they are, the better I get along with them. You'll explain that to me someday, ok? But maybe it's not a bad thing. The easy ones I maybe don't like as much or don't get along with as much." Woodward's response: "The president controls foreign relations unilaterally. He decides, and he has decided, oh, I'm going to get along with Putin, I'm going to get along with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, MBS, and I'm going to try to get along with Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea." "But not South Korea. He just smears South Korea time and time again in my interviews," Woodward continued. "He is the face of the United States to the world. And he has said, hey look, I get along with these bad guys but not the good guys."
Came across this in an old GQ Chumpie Jr profile lol: + + + So began the difficult, defining struggle of Donald Trump Jr.'s life—to make himself useful while carrying a name so beloved by the man who bestowed it that he put it in gold letters on buildings all over the world. When he was growing up, his dad called him Donny—a moniker the elder Trump would never go by. “[It's] a name I hate,” he explained in The Art of the Deal. + + + How could you Here4money ... name this topic such.
