You do realize that for generations after the civil war until the late 1940s throughout the U.S. including the North blacks generally supported the Republican Party over the Democratic Party. To be point where the Republican Party simply took their vote for granted without really delivering on anything helpful to the black community. The Democratic Party assuming that blacks will automatically support them and taking the black vote for granted is exactly what will lead to the demise of this support over the upcoming decades.
You do realize that is because the democratic party represented the confederate states back then right? Blacks will support the party that represent the union states and against the party that represents the confederate states as they should.
According to your logic then you agree that Blacks are well on their way to fully leaving the Democrat party.
As long as the republican party is the party of racists blacks will vote agianst them. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cn...overnor-andrew-gillum-ron-desantis/index.html Agriculture Sec. I never said that. I stated that the Democratic party needs to stop taking the black vote for granted and do something positive for the community if they want those votes to stay with them over the upcoming years. Identity politics only goes so far.
The democrat party does a lot for black people but voting against a racist party is enough of a reason for blacks to vote democrat.
Since they got the right to vote blacks have voted for the party that represents the union states, that is not changing.
