Lyndon Johnson was a one term, highly disliked President whose ratings are dragged down by the Vietnam War and the fact that he was a gruff southern boy. Nevertheless, based on the times and what he had to work with he did more to advance dem causes than some dufus pretty boy like Obama did. Voting rights, all the other civil rights progress, all the various Great Society projects, social security, medicare etc.
