Ahh, that also is a wicked and messy scenario. Weapons are sent via so called "PDA authority" which Biden abuses well beyond its original intent. "PDA" refers to "Presidential Drawdown Authority" which is granted in a statute that lets presidents take weapons/equipment from existing U.S. inventory and just ship them to a country in emergency situations. It has a good intent but has been abused off into oblivion in this Ukraine situation. It is meant to let the u.s. help out in an emergency, not as a substitute for Congressional approval. But to your point. yeh, it is ridiculous to act as though there is no monetary value when in fact all those weapons need to be replaced through more build to keep us up at required levels. And that has a cost. Also, even if one took Biden's assertion and accepted it, parts of it would still be absolute bullshit. The U.S. has absolutely sent hard cash to Ukraine to pay for most of its civilian government operations and humanitarian relief. The weapons PDA game does not work there.

I was going to say this earlier, I think they're really working hard at changing their stripes. All the cable news channels are right next to each other on streaming TV, and I HATE commercials So if I'm watching one of those 8 channels, the minute a commercial comes on, I start flipping thru the other channels. Today, this afternoon, one of the CNN anchors had some black guy on, and he was going on and on about how bad Biden was. And this wasn't a familiar face you'd see on Fox. I don't know who he was, but the CNN anchor basically played it like she was a Fox anchor. He said his peace, and she professionally acknowledged it, and politely went to the next segment. As opposed to MSNBC... which at any given time of any given day... if it's not a commercial... the banner at the bottom of the screen contains the word "Trump."
Yup, all that is being attempted anyway. They have no place to go, other than to attempt to raid Fox's audience because that is where all the viewers are. They can't go any further left because MSNBC has the slot covered and even if they got all of MSNBC's viewers that does not do much. As Willie Sutton said when asked why he robbed banks: "Because that's where the money is." CNN has to go more moderate to get the voters that can be moved or just to get at more voters.
